Gary Wendt is a Chicago-based musician and educator who is usually on a journey. Many of them, actually. All at the same time.
He is a teacher at Hubbard Woods Elementary School in Winnetka, where he teaches general music, chorus, co-directs a student-run television studio and collaborates with students and teachers to make music part of everyday life.
He is Minister for Music and Organist at Glenview Community Church where he directs the Joyful Ringers handbell choir and a woodwind quartet, manages the Simple Gifts Concert Series and plays the organ (a lot).
He owns and manages Heartland House, a vacation home in Saugatuck, Michigan.
